‘Summer Blue’

76 x 101.5 cm

‘Staring at the sky, feeling so close to the colours.’

There is a particular blue that only exists over the Mediterranean in high summer — deep, saturated, almost close enough to touch.

'Summer Blue' captures that exact register of sky, built through layered, expressive brushwork that moves between control and abandon. It is less a depiction of a place than a distillation of a feeling: the pause before nothing else needs to happen, the sky doing all the talking.

A statement piece for a space that deserves stillness.
